Vintage Vault - Revlon Top Speed - Whitty

Hi guys,

It's a beautiful sunny day here, I have the weekend off and don't go back to training until wednesday, I plan on getting out in the garden and hopefully digging a wildlife pond as well as planting some cuttings. I'll hopefully have plenty of time for catching up on my nail polish swatching aswell.

Right, nail polish time, todays polish is a Revlon Top Speed called Whitty, it's a metallic light purple and I have no idea how old it is but it's probably at least over six years old.

The first coat was streaky as hell and the brush marks were the worst I've ever seen, I did two coats, but it was still full of brush marks, it's probably the weirdest formula I've ever seen, it's got bubbles in the bottle and seems like it's made of molten plastic, it's pretty odd, it's a nice colour though.

See what I mean about being streaky, and look at those brush marks they're something else, I do have to say this didn't look quite as bad in real life, from a distance it was quite pretty and the light certainly bounced off it and made it more interesting.

Polishes like this are why I love vintage ones, the formulas have changed so much and it's interesting to see what nail polish was like in the past, being a vintage polish lover I will put up with a crappy formula for an amazing colour, especially if it's really funky and cool.

So that's it for today, I'd love to know what you think about todays polish and if you have any old Revlon Top Speeds that you love, and in my next post I'll let you know if I passed my bus driving test or not. :-)

Cheerio for now,

Heather. :-)
